Paddy Considine was great, Samantha Morton was excellent and very believable as a strong Irish mother. The answer of Mateo, that he was in love with anything that lives, ( because he was dying)was another strong scene with breathtaking acting from Hounsou's part.
It is dedicated "to Frankie," and in the movie the family has two young daughters, and there was a son named Frankie who died of a brain tumor after a fall down the stairs.
