I feel that if you know Mr Sandford's other work then this is a nice time-passer, but if you go into this because he's been recommended to you as an author then you could well be very disappointed. The further Sean gets into the case the more he realizes someone is hiding the truth. I believe that Drummond is now a smarter smart ass! Drummond finds himself following clues in order to discover how the nightly torture of prisoners occurred without officers discovering it and putting an end to it.
